Who You Are

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of all USGBC-LEED rating systems
  • Knowledge of LEED certification process and procedures
  • Advanced knowledge of industry standard practices and loss prevention practices
  • Skilled in MS Office
  • Skilled in research of regulatory requirements
  • Advanced delegation/mentoring/team skills
  • Advanced presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to identify and prioritize critical tasks
  • Ability to work independently

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, or the equivalent gained through relevant experience
  • B.S. in construction management, architecture or engineering.
  • LEED AP or LEED AP+ certification required

What You'll Do

Project Execution (Pre-Design and Design):

  • Assists in project kick-off meeting with owner
  • Conducts project Design Charrette with owner and design team
  • Develops preliminary LEED checklist
  • Registers project online with USGBC
  • Maintains and distributes latest LEED checklist to design team
  • Represents Primera at periodical LEED design team meetings
  • Assists in sustainable design and answers technical sustainable design questions as they arise
  • Conducts drawing and specification review of all project specifications pertaining to sustainable design elements. May develop specific LEED submittal specification sections
  • Develops LEED Design Phase action plan for LEED template completion
  • Reviews all design team information for conformance with USGBC submittal requirements
  • Submits Design Phase application to USGBC
  • Responds to USGBC Design Phase review comments

Project Execution (Construction Administration):

  • Assists in CA kick-off meeting with contractor
  • Conducts project Construction Charrette with general contractor and all trade sub-contractors
  • Reviews Erosion Sedimentation Control plan
  • Reviews Construction Waste Management plan
  • Reviews Construction Indoor Air Quality Management plan
  • Represents Primera at monthly LEED construction meetings throughout the project construction duration
  • Reviews all Division 2-10 submittal packages
  • Reviews all submittal packages that include field-applied, interior installed materials containing VOCs
  • Assists in sustainable construction practices and answers technical sustainable construction questions as they arise
  • Develops LEED construction phase action plan for LEED template completion
  • Conducts/Reviews ESC and IAQ field observation reports/photos
  • Reviews all contractor information for conformance with USGBC submittal requirements
  • Submits Construction Phase application to USGBC
  • Responds to USGBC Construction Phase review comments

Project Closeout:

  • Delivers USGBC/LEED certification plaque to client
  • Delivers final revised LEED checklist to client

General / Project Planning:

  • Manages project delivery and submittal of project deliverables
  • Represents Primera at client meetings
  • Implements the quality management system for project delivery
