Storm Water Solutions Features Primera project

Primera is pleased to announce that our ComEd Chicago North project was recently featured on the Storm Water Solutions website. As the prime consultant on the project, Primera is privileged to serve as the team lead working directly with ComEd and their designated Project Manager, JLL, on the design process. Primera partnered with local architecture, interior design, and planning firm SCB and is also managing all the subconsultants on the project. In addition to project management, Primera’s services include mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, structural, civil, LEED consulting, energy modeling, and lighting design.

Construction began last year on this new 30-acre multi-phased project that will redevelop ComEd’s existing facility on the northwest side of Chicago. This facility is crucial as it serves as the northern headquarters for ComEd operations for a large portion of the city, serving over 1 million customers. Currently, the space contains offices, a warehouse, fleet vehicle parking, and a yard for equipment and materials storage. However, planned improvements for this space include a showcase office building and 10,000-square-foot visitor center, a warehouse/supply shop building, and improved vehicle parking areas.
