Primera Engineers has ranked among Auburn University’s 2017 Top Tigers. The annual list recognizes the fastest-growing companies founded, owned or led by Auburn University alumni. Presented by the Harbert College of Business and Business Alabama magazine, the Top Tigers program celebrates the entrepreneurial success of alums from each of Auburn’s 12 degree-granting colleges and schools. Primera ranked in the Top 10 based on its 2015 revenue.

Primera’s President & CEO Erin Inman graduated from Auburn University’s College of Engineering in 1993 and joined Primera in 2003. She was instrumental in the firm’s growth while building and overseeing the Utilities division before purchasing the company from retiring co-founders Michael DeSantiago and Pedro Cevallos-Candau in 2016. Under her leadership, Primera expects to continue to grow Nationally in all four of it’s key areas: Buildings, Transportation, Utilities and Consulting.

Erin was back at her alma mater this week for the annual Auburn University Entrepreneurship Summit where the awards were presented. While she was there, she had the opportunity to judge this year’s Tiger Cage competition. Similar to ABC’s popular “Shark Tank,” Tiger Cage challenges undergraduate and graduate students to compete for funding and other prizes that will help them turn their big ideas into thriving businesses. This year’s winners were awarded a $10,000 investment toward their innovative sneaker storage solution.
