Yesterday, thousands of runners from hundreds of companies filled the streets of downtown Chicago for the 41st Annual J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge, the world’s largest corporate running event. Over 12,000 participants gathered near Chicago’s Grant Park for the friendly competition that concluded with a post-event celebration over food and drinks. More than 25 Primera employees joined the large crowd to test their speed and endurance throughout the 3.5-mile course. We’re happy to report that our team average finish time was 40:53, ranking in number 227 out of 426 local companies representing all industries.
This year, J.P. Morgan Chase proudly supported Hope Chicago. The organization is a multigenerational economic mobility initiative focused on enhancing the future of Chicago’s students, families, and communities through debt-free higher education completion. Launched in 2021, Hope Chicago’s model supports postsecondary pathways offering full financial coverage and wraparound services to graduates and their parents from five community high schools on Chicago’s South and West Sides—providing families the opportunity to reach their fullest potential. To date, Hope Chicago’s efforts have increased postsecondary enrollment at its five partner high schools by 30%—enrolling over 1,200 Hope Scholars in Illinois-based partner institutions.
