Primera is thrilled to congratulate Jill Deichmann for receiving the Outstanding Architect Award for 2024 from the American Institute of Architects Northeast Illinois Chapter (AIANEI), as part of their bi-annual Service Awards Program. The awards program serves to recognize architects, educators, students and colleagues who help uphold the chapter’s mission, vision, and core values. The Outstanding Architect Award honors the leadership, dedication, talent, and contributions of an architect who has been licensed for more than 10 years.
Jill has been with Primera since 2002 and currently serves as our Architecture Group Manager in our Buildings division. Her expertise spans architectural design, code consulting, project management, permitting, and construction administration, enabling her to offer creative solutions and superb service to Primera’s clients. Notably, Jill served as the Code Consultant and Project Architect for the renovation and general landscaping of Chicago’s Maggie Daley Park. She also acted as the Code Consultant for the development of the iconic Navy Pier pierscape.
Jill’s philanthropic spirit is evident in her enthusiasm for bettering her community. Currently, Jill serves as Board President for Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago, where she serves as the face of the organization dedicated to providing critical home repairs to those in need. Her third term in this role, Jill leads the Board’s strategic planning efforts, steering the organization toward a sustainable future. She was also recently recognized with the 2023 Volunteer of the Year Award at Primera for her volunteerism and inspiring efforts to give back to the community.
“Jill is a prime example of a leader in the world of architecture and within her community,” says Primera’s Buildings Division Manager, Ken Panucci. “Her passion is evident in her designs and in her commitment to service.”
