
Primera is thrilled to announce several key promotions within our Utilities Division. These promotions reflect our commitment to recognizing and nurturing talent within our organization. We are proud to congratulate and shine a spotlight on the following individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise in their respective fields. Pictured in the graphic above from left to right are:
Taylor Creech, Distribution Group Manager
Taylor Creech, PE, has been promoted to Distribution Group Manager. With nearly 15 years of experience in electrical engineering, Taylor has made a significant impact on Primera’s distribution team since joining in January 2024. His expertise spans the design and management of residential and commercial power distribution systems, focusing on 8kV through 34kV for both overhead and underground systems. Taylor is known for his meticulous approach to power quality analysis and his proficiency with tools such as SAP, ArcFM, and AutoCAD. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Louisiana State University. Taylor is also a licensed Professional Engineer in Louisiana.
Chris Stasiunas, Sr. Vice President, Acting Distribution Department Manager, remarks, “Taylor’s dedication to excellence and his deep technical knowledge, make him an invaluable asset to our team. His leadership will undoubtedly continue to drive our distribution groups forward as we continue to deliver industry leading expertise and service to our utility clients.”
Adam Gigstad, Substation Group Manager
Adam Gigstad has been promoted to Substation Group Manager. Adam has been an integral part of our substation engineering team since he joined Primera in May 2018. He has been responsible for the design and installation support of electrical substation components and systems for various utilities. His primary responsibilities have included client interfacing, equipment and materials specifications, and schematic design. Adam’s project experience is extensive, with notable projects such as the ACE (Atlantic City Electric) North Central Line Relay and various substation upgrades for ACE and Ameren. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois.
Mark Ellis, Substation Department Manager and Adam’s supervisor, comments, “Adam’s expertise and leadership in substation engineering have been instrumental in our success. His promotion is well-deserved, and I am confident he will continue to drive innovation and excellence in our substation group.”
Nicholas MacFarlane, Substation Engineering Director
Nick MacFarlane, PE, has been promoted to Substation Engineering Director. Nick has been a lead substation engineer at Primera since he joined the firm in March 2018. In that time, he’s been involved in all aspects of our substation team and projects, including design, quality management, client management, and team leadership. Nick’s project experience includes significant work with ComEd, First Energy, and Ameren, where he has led projects involving transformer replacements, substation security upgrades, and protection scheme designs. In his new role, he’ll lead the quality management of all substation design projects, driving lessons learned through the organization. He will also serve as mentor to others across the team, further educating them on current standards and best practices. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois.
