Dallas Fort Worth International Airport Selects HOK/Primera team for Facilities Design/Design Management Services

Primera Engineers, as a subconsultant to HOK, has recently been selected to provide Facilities Design and Design Management services at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). The three-year contract will enable us to lead the civil engineering efforts for the HOK team as part of DFW’s multi-billion-dollar Capital Improvement Program.

HOK brought together nearly 10 project partners to spearhead the airport’s long-term commitment to keeping up with passenger and airline demands. The HOK team will provide architectural and engineering design, design management, and other related services for various types of new and renovated structures and facilities located at DFW. Primera’s team of civil engineering and aviation experts will lead the civil design scope including, stormwater management, traffic study, airside and landside pavement, and other civil tasks in support of each facility program projects.

“As the Dallas-Fort Worth area continues to grow into a major metropolitan hub, we are thrilled to be helping the DFW International Airport elevate their passenger experience with more sustainable and modern facilities and amenities,” says Aviation Group Manager, Joe Avram. “I’m excited to see the progression as DFW continues to evolve as a leading international airport.”

This award marked Primera's first project award at DFW after establishing an office in nearby Grapevine, Texas in early 2019. Subsequently, our team was recently awarded another project at the international airport providing lighting and fire protection design services. Our Aviation team is led by Joe Avram, pictured above.
