Primera Lighting and Electrical Experts Recognized in CSE’s “40 Under 40”

Primera is pleased to announce that two of our young engineers, Deborah Steimel-Clair and Louis DeAlba have been selected as Consulting-Specifying Engineers’ (CSE) “40 Under 40” Program recipients for 2016. CSE is dedicated to encouraging and recognizing the most talented young individuals in the engineering community supporting the building industry, on a national level. Each year, CSE selects 40 building industry professionals age 40 and younger who stand out both professionally and personally for their annual “40 Under 40” Program. Candidates are nominated by a professional colleague or mentor and judged based on nine areas including their commitment to excellence in their academic, professional, personal, and community lives. This year’s recipients will attend CSE’s awards ceremony on October 4th for an evening of leadership and networking. Primera is proud to introduce to you our winners for this year:

Deborah Steimel-Clair is Primera’s go-to lighting designer. She is Lighting Certified by the National Council on Qualifications for Lighting Professionals, and sees lighting design as an opportunity to have a positive impact on people’s daily lives. Her expertise is the result of more than ten years of experience performing lighting design, building systems design, engineering, project management, construction administration, and system studies for institutional, educational, commercial, residential, healthcare, museum and historical facilities as well as streetscape projects. Her diverse background allows her invaluable insight into how the lighting and power worlds work together in real-world applications.

Louis DeAlba is a lead Electrical Designer and BIM/Revit Administrator at Primera with over five years of experience in the design of electrical systems, emergency and natural power systems, lighting, and fire alarm systems for educational, commercial, recreation, and institutional facilities. Louis is also skilled in BIM/Revit Modeling and is charged with the design of multiple large-scale projects, while creating internal corporate standards and providing quality control on BIM technologies and practices.

“Each year, I’m amazed at the exceptional level of the nominees, and this year’s winners certainly stand out,” said Amara Rozgus, Editor-in-Chief of Consulting-Specifying Engineer. “Now in its ninth year, the bar has been set incredibly high for these winners—and this year’s class met and exceeded all of the judges’ expectations.”
