On Sunday, October 2nd, the Primera Foundation is hosting its 2nd annual fundraising event, STEMFEST, at Brookfield Zoo. The Primera Foundation’s continual commitment to supporting STEM education in its local communities aligns with the belief that all students should be given the opportunity to impact our world through science, technology, engineering, and math.
While our roots run deep in Primera’s past, the Foundation is a growing entity with a strong, singular vision. The Primera Foundation’s giving is focused in four areas: Scholarships – for students to pursue STEM careers; Technology – helping to bring opportunity into classrooms that would otherwise have minimal access; Education – sharing our knowledge and supporting other charitable organizations teaching STEM to our youth; and Mentorship – developing our next generation of engineers and architects.
STEMFEST is a family-friendly event geared at celebrating and inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders with fun and educational activities, food and drinks, and of course, plenty of animals! Tickets include all-day general admission to the zoo, complimentary parking, a carousel ride, access to the Hamill Family Wild Encounters exhibit and the Dolphins in Action show, plus access to our private outdoor event space where we will have games and activities, a STEM activity area, buffet lunch and drinks, and more! Early-bird tickets are on sale through July 7th, discounted tickets are on sale July 8th – September 2nd and regular, full-priced tickets can be purchased through September 23rd by clicking here.
Primera is known for improving lives, not only through dynamic design, innovative technology, and superior service, but also through abilities to make a difference in the communities in which we live and work. Together, we can expose students who would otherwise have limited access to STEM to opportunities for them to explore STEM-related concepts, in hopes of planting a seed that will grow into a passion to pursue careers in STEM fields. We’re inspiring the next generation of engineers.
We hope to see you there!
