Yesterday, our Chicago office was abuzz with excitement as Primera commemorated National Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day! On April 25th, we welcomed 16 bright-eyed and eager children for a day filled with games, activities, and friendly competitions. The unofficial holiday, observed every last Thursday in April, encourages parents and mentors to invite their children into their work environment, giving them a firsthand look into their life at work. Not only is the day a great excuse to spend more time together, but it allows children to explore future career opportunities.

Our little visitors participated in several exciting activities for our Take Your Child to Work Day festivities. We kicked the day off with a welcome from our President & CEO, Erin Inman, along with a brief overview of what Primera does. The children then got to know each other better with a quick icebreaker activity, took a tour of our office, made and launched paper airplanes, and participated in a scavenger hunt. The day culminated in a shared meal, where parents and other Primera colleagues, enjoyed a delicious lunch together. All in all, the day was a success and the kids were able to get a good glimpse into the working world.

At Primera, we are passionate about inspiring the next generation of engineers and industry leaders, that is why we created the Primera Foundation, in 2019. Through the Foundation, we we champion STEM education and foster a workplace culture that encourages giving back to our communities.
