Primera is pleased to announce that we were honored with the 2016 Private Sector Employer Recognition Award by the Illinois Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (IL-ASCE) at their Annual Awards Dinner Gala held on October 13th at the Intercontinental Hotel in Chicago, Illinois. The annual award recognizes employers who exhibit exemplary support as evidenced by:

• Providing a model for involvement through agency-wide participation in local, regional, and national ASCE activities;
• Allowing engineers time off to attend ASCE meetings and seminars;
• Supporting and encouraging technical and professional growth;
• Encouraging engineers to prepare articles for publication in ASCE professional and technical journals; and
• Assisting in the payment of Society dues.

Primera and its employees have been involved with ASCE since 2001. The firm whole-heartedly believes in the ASCE mission and strongly support their programs and activities in Illinois and Indiana. Each year, the IL-ASCE Awards Dinner Gala recognizes projects and organizations of engineering achievement by Illinois consulting engineering firms. Founded in 1852, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) represents more than 145,000 members of the civil engineering profession worldwide and is America’s oldest national engineering society. The organization’s mission is to provide essential value to their members and partners, advance civil engineering, and serve the public good. Founded in 1916 and celebrating 100 years, the Illinois Section represents Civil Engineers in northern Illinois.
