We are thrilled to announce that Melissa Clark, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, has been named one of the recipients of the prestigious 2025 Chicago Titan 100 award. This recognition celebrates Chicago’s top 100 CEOs and C-level executives who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, vision, and passion in their respective industries.
Melissa has been an integral part of Primera since 2015, where she has played a pivotal role in our firm’s financial and strategic planning. She also oversees all the accounting and finance aspects for our charitable organization, the Primera Foundation. Her journey in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry began as a studio coordinator for a Wisconsin-based architecture firm. Over the years, she has ascended through various financial roles, earning her degree in management accounting from Alverno College and later an MBA. Her dedication and expertise have led to significant advancements at Primera, including the automation of nearly all financial processes, making the firm 99% paperless.
Melissa’s leadership extends beyond her professional achievements. She is actively involved in numerous professional and non-profit organizations, including acting as Treasurer of the Primera Foundation, sitting on the Board of Directors and acting as Treasurer for Green City Market and Chicago Chefs Cook. She also sits on the Board for Evolved Network is a Co-Chair and Steering Committee Member of the CFO Leadership Council (Chicago Chapter) and resides on the National Advisory Council for Women Leaders Connect. Melissa is also an active member of Chicago United and of the Advisory Council for Youth Guidance’s WOW (Working on Womanhood) Program. Her commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is also evident through her co-chair role in Primera’s Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) Committee, where she has spearheaded initiatives to create a more inclusive workplace.
The Chicago Titan 100 program, sponsored by Titan CEO and Wipfli LLP, recognizes the area’s most accomplished business leaders. This year’s honorees oversee companies generating more than $70 billion in combined revenues and a workforce of over 439,000 employees. Melissa will be honored at the annual awards ceremony on February 20, 2025, at the Aon Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier.
