Primera Engineers is proud to announce that our corporate social responsibility efforts were recently featured in the May/June issue of Engineering Inc. magazine. The article “From the Ground Up” discusses how our work with several schools and organizations in the community is inspiring new generations of engineering professionals. Several employees from our office were interviewed about their ongoing commitments around education and getting kids excited about careers in STEM. Primera CEO, Erin Inman, knows first-hand the struggle it is to find qualified candidates in this industry, “We’re constantly trying to recruit new engineers. We’re finding that you go to colleges, and there are 30 or 40 firms fighting over new graduates.” This is just one of the reasons why Primera is so community-focused, we see this need for more students in STEM, and we are doing what we can to fill that gap in the industry.
From our 25+ year relationship with Francisco Madero Middle School in Little Village to our close ties to New Life for Haiti, Primera employees put in the extra time and effort to influence and motivate future engineers.
