Lourdes Gonzalez, AIA, Joins AIA Chicago Board of Directors

We’re proud to share that Lourdes Gonzalez, AIA, Senior Vice President, has been appointed to The American Institute of Architects Chicago (AIA Chicago) Board of Directors as a liaison from the AIA Illinois Board of Directors. This recognition is a testament to Lourdes’ dedication to advancing the architecture, engineering, and construction community and her commitment to shaping the future of our industry. Formal approval by the 2025 Board of Directors took place on December 18th, and Lourdes will officially begin her term starting January 1, 2026.

As part of the Board, Lourdes would collaborate with peers across Chicago to champion innovation, foster professional growth, and strengthen connections within the design community. Her leadership and expertise would help guide AIA Chicago’s mission to support architects and professionals in creating a more sustainable and inclusive built environment. Lourdes Gonzalez, AIA, Joins AIA Chicago Board of Directors

The AIA Chicago Board of Directors is a diverse group of practitioners, students, and allied professionals that bring a wealth of experience in carrying out the vision and mission of the Chapter. The AIA Chicago Board includes three Chicago delegates from the AIA Illinois Board of Directors. These individuals, including Lourdes, are appointed by AIA Illinois and typically serve a three-year term.
