Primera Engineers, Ltd. (Primera) is pleased to welcome Joseph Avram, PE, LEED AP BD+C as our Aviation Group Manager. Based in our Chicago, Illinois office, Joe’s primary responsibility will be to grow our aviation market by connecting and building meaningful relationships with new and existing clients. Joe will pioneer next-generation solutions, while helping to develop new service lines to support and elevate our service offerings in the aviation arena.

Joe joins Primera with nearly 15 years of experience working in the transportation and aviation industries. He began his aviation career working as a civil design engineer at the busiest airport in the country – Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. Additionally, he’s worked on several site civil design projects ranging from K-12 to federal to civic and cultural institutions, before focusing predominately on airport-specific projects. Joe earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, his Master of Business Administration from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois, and his Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Joe is also a member of the ACI-NA (Airports Council International – North America) Business Diversity Committee and is an active member of ACC (Airport Consultants Council) Young Professionals in Chicago.
