40 young professionals honored by Consulting-Specifying Engineer Magazine for industry leadership and impact.

Primera is pleased to announce that Stephen Wisniewski, Mechanical Team Lead and Engineer IV, has been selected as one of Consulting‑Specifying Engineer’s (CSE) 40 Under 40 award recipients for 2026. CSE is dedicated to recognizing outstanding young professionals in the nonresidential building industry who demonstrate leadership, dedication, and innovation both professionally and personally. Each year, CSE honors 40 individuals age 40 or younger who stand out through their contributions to the building industry and their local communities.

Stephen was evaluated and selected by a panel of industry experts across nine key areas, including academic achievement, professional accomplishments, community involvement, and personal growth. With more than a decade of experience in design engineering and project management, he has excelled at collaborating with interdisciplinary teams on complex projects, specializing in HVAC system design, equipment specification, and code‑compliant solutions. His work reflects a strong commitment to delivering safer, more resilient, and more efficient buildings. Stephen, along with the other 39 award recipients, will be formally recognized at a celebration in October 2026.

“These 2026 40 Under 40 winners continue to raise the bar for excellence in the building, engineering, and design fields,” said Amara Rozgus, Editor‑in‑Chief of Consulting‑Specifying Engineer. Now in its 19th year, the program remains a powerful spotlight on emerging leaders shaping the future of the industry.”

In 2024, Stephen was honored with the Mentor Award by the Illinois Science & Technology Coalition’s Mentor Matching Engine (MME) Program, which celebrates mentors who make extraordinary contributions to their students’ growth and development. The award is especially meaningful as it is based on nominations from the students themselves, a testament to Stephen’s impactful mentorship and dedication.

The MME program helps Illinois high school students work with professional mentors on long-term research projects. Students explore STEM and intersectional topics like social sciences, arts, humanities, and social justice. Stephen has been volunteering with the MME Program for several years.

Consulting‑Specifying Engineer (www.csemag.com), published by WTWH Media LLC, serves the nonresidential building industry, covering mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety engineering across commercial, industrial, government, healthcare, and high‑tech markets.

Primera congratulates Stephen and the entire CSE 40 Under 40 Class of 2026 on this well‑deserved achievement.
