Who You Are

  • You have your bachelor’s in civil engineering with a structural emphasis, and between five to seven of experience. If you have your master’s in civil engineering, it’s a plus.
  • You’re also a licensed professional engineer (P.E.) and licensed structural engineer (S.E.).
  • You have knowledge of codes and standards (ASCE-7, IBC, ACI, AISC, wood and masonry), and design of structural systems in concrete, steel, and masonry with applications in either utilities or buildings.
  • You’re skilled in the finite element method of analysis. You’re proficient in Microsoft Office and commercial FEM software analysis; if you have CAD and Revit experience you’ll stand out!
  • You’re a strong communicator with outstanding team skills.

What You’ll Do

  • You’ll prepare/review structural design calculations for concrete, structural steel, wood, and masonry structures for both private and public facilities projects.
  • You’ll prepare/review sketches, technical comparisons, and similar technical work as required by assignment.
  • You’ll coordinate project assignments with engineers and technicians within the group.
  • You’ll review shop drawings and submittals, and recommend necessary changes.
  • You’ll assist with site visits and in the preparation of drawings, specifications, supporting documents, and permit applications for private and public work projects.
  • You’ll maintain project documentation, including calculations, project filing, etc.
  • You’ll interface with vendors and clients.
  • You’ll assist with the preparation of proposals and strategic planning for the group

Starting salary is between $95,000 – $115,000 based on skills and qualifications, with the high end of the range limited to applicants based on relevant years of experience.
