Civil Project Manager

The Civil Project Manager will support Primera Engineers’ growing Utilities Division by managing and delivering civil engineering projects supporting electric distribution infrastructure programs for a key utility client.

This role will work closely with utility stakeholders, engineering teams, project coordinators, and field personnel to successfully execute projects from initial planning through completion. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting electric utilities, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked directly within the electric distribution industry.

The successful candidate will have experience managing utility projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, communicating with clients, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and within established schedules and budgets.

• You will manage civil engineering projects supporting electric distribution infrastructure programs from initial planning through completion.
• You will serve as a key point of contact between Primera Engineers, utility clients, and internal project teams.
• You will coordinate project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution.
• You will collaborate with engineers, designers, construction teams, permitting groups, and utility stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• You will support overhead and underground electric distribution infrastructure projects and contribute to the successful delivery of utility programs.
• You will lead project meetings, communicate project status, and provide updates to clients, project teams, and leadership.
• You will identify project risks, develop solutions, and proactively address challenges to maintain project schedules and deliverables.
• You will review project deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance with client expectations and project requirements.
• You will support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the growth and success of Primera’s Utilities practice.
• You will mentor and support junior team members while continuing to develop your leadership capabilities.
• You will build trusted client relationships and identify opportunities for continued partnership, growth, and expanded services.
