Developer Services Permit Review

Chicago, Illinois

As part of the City of Chicago’s Developer Services permit process, Primera provided Building Code reviews for the City of Chicago Department of Construction and Permits as a sub-consultant. Primera provided these review services for architectural design, heating/ventilation, refrigeration, plumbing and electrical disciplines. Primera was also one of two reviewers providing Green Permit reviews for the City of Chicago. Project types included high-rise mixed-use structures, assisted living, medical centers, museums, university buildings, storage buildings, multi-family residential, retail and restaurants, to name a few.

A typical project schedule included a detailed code review using DCAP checklists, utilization of the City’s customized software program, Hansen, and follow-up meetings with the client to approve modifications to comply with the Chicago Building Code.
