Primera Engineers is proud to announce that our President & CEO, Erin Inman, PE, LEED AP, has been selected as part of Crain’s Chicago Business 2020 Notable Women in Construction and Design. Erin is among 49 honorees in the construction, architectural, and commercial/industrial interior design fields selected for this year’s recognition. This impressive list of women was identified through Crain’s internal research and nominations from major firms in the Chicagoland area. They have been selected based on their career accomplishments, their mentorship of others, and their involvement in professional and community-based organizations.

Erin began her career at Primera 17 years ago when she was tasked with growing the Utilities team. With her support, the company not only doubled in size, but the Utilities division earned a national reputation for high-quality design and client-focused service. It was this type of passion that drove Erin to purchase the company from its co-founders in 2016 and use her unique leadership style to reshape and continue to grow the organization. Since then, she has worked tirelessly to diversify the firm’s business outside of Illinois, with plans to expand further. Last year, 20% of Primera’s revenue came from 11 states across the Country. Erin has also made it her life’s work to promote careers in STEM, particularly to young girls and women in engineering. In 2018, she founded the Primera Foundation, a 501(c)(3) that works to inspire the next generation of engineers through investments in scholarships, technology, education, and mentorship. As Erin continues to make a positive impact with Primera, we are proud that she is also taking part in shaping the industry.
