Primera is excited to announce that Lourdes Gonzalez, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C, ND, has received the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement’s (HACE) Mujer Maravilla award. This award is given to women who truly embody the HACE mission of reaching one’s full potential for themselves and their community. It also celebrates the 15-year anniversary of the Mujeres de HACE Program, a personal development program geared toward empowering Latina professionals to excel in their careers and thrive personally. Lourdes had the pleasure of participating in the program several years ago which also provides insight, access and professional development to foster successful female leaders in a multitude of industries.
As Senior Vice President and one of our business development experts in our Buildings division, Lourdes leads with a passion for cultivating long-term relationships and client satisfaction. She has helped guide the strategic direction of our buildings team in addition to establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with valued clients. A licensed architect and LEED accredited professional, Lourdes has more than 25 years of experience in the industry. Her background includes architectural design, program management, historic preservation and LEED consulting for higher education, school, municipal, healthcare, industrial and transportation clients and facilities.
HACE is a national non-profit dedicated to the employment, development, and advancement of current and aspiring Latino professionals. HACE has served as a resource for Latinos in the workplace and is a subject matter expert for corporations seeking to access diverse talent. Through professional development, resources, and networks, and by facilitating access to meaningful career opportunities, HACE helps Latinos succeed in every phase of their career. HACE works with employers to remain competitive in an increasingly dynamic economy by helping them attract, develop and retain Latino and diverse professionals. The organization hosted their annual National Leadership Summit on April 20th and 21st, focusing on diversity and inclusion. The Mujer Maravilla Award recipients were recognized during a hybrid Quinceañera Brunch event held on the second day at the Renaissance Hotel in Chicago.
