Primera is excited to announce the promotion of Amanda Beck Larkin, PE, CET, CFPS to Senior Design Process Group Manager. Amanda is Primera’s leading fire protection and life safety engineer, dedicated to a career focused on saving lives. Amanda has embraced our values, led countless projects, and developed and mentored junior engineers. In addition to leading our fire protection/life safety efforts, she has been managing our BIM and project coordination teams. This includes the overall planning, monitoring, and implementation of the design process and quality improvements for the Buildings division, as well as collaboration across all our divisions for consistency. In her expanded role, she will implement improvements to modernize our quality assurance documentation to make that process more collaborative, efficient, and accommodating of our hybrid work environment with staff both in-office and remote.

In 2022, Amanda completed her Master’s in fire protection engineering from California Polytechnic State University. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Arizona State University and is a certified fire protection specialist and certified in fire protection engineering technology water-based systems layout. With over 15 years of experience, Amanda has spent the last 13 years at Primera protecting people, facilities, and systems. She is an expert at the engineering, design and construction administration of fire protection and life safety systems for institutional, educational, healthcare, commercial, residential, and light industrial facilities.
