Rina Vidri Promoted to Mechanical Department Manager

Primera is pleased to announce the promotion of Rina Vidri, PE, LEED AP BD+C, to the role of Mechanical Department Manager. During her tenure as Senior Mechanical Group Manager, Rina demonstrated her skill in resolving technical challenges, effectively leading the mechanical group, and delivering exceptional service to our Buildings clients. In her expanded role, Rina will continue to focus on process improvements, support our growth and expansion plans, and oversee project management, coordination, and quality assurance throughout all project phases.

With three decades of experience, Rina has honed her skills in various areas including design, project management, coordination, and quality assurance across all stages of project development for higher education, healthcare, and institutional sectors. Rina earned her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Riga Technical University in Latvia, then moved to the United States with her family to continue her engineering career. Beginning as an entry-level engineer, she steadily advanced through various promotions and joined Primera in 2012. Since then, her leadership and engineering expertise have significantly contributed to Primera’s industry recognition. Over the past twelve years, her work as a lead mechanical engineer on numerous projects has earned the firm over 10 industry awards.

Rina stands out not just for her engineering expertise but also for her thoughtful leadership and eagerness to learn and teach. To stay current in industry trends, she attends HVAC courses, collaborates with manufacturers’ reps, tries new software, and regularly attends leadership trainings. She supervises over ten people, promotes knowledge sharing to boost productivity, and empowers her team to work more efficiently. “I’ve known Rina for over ten years and am still impressed with how she blends her technical expertise with forward-thinking leadership,” states Ken Panucci, Buildings Division Manager. “She’s always looking for improvements and knows how to motivate her team. These are vital strengths for the growth of our firm,” he adds.
