Primera Celebrates Chicago Aviation at ACEC Regional Luncheon

March 4, 2026

Primera’s Aviation team joined industry peers and public sector leaders at the American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois (ACEC-IL) Regional Luncheon last week, a gathering focused on the future of aviation across the Chicagoland region.

The program featured Chicago Department of Aviation Commissioner, Michael McMurray, who shared insight into the priorities, challenges, and opportunities shaping O’Hare and Midway International Airports. Collectively, they make Chicago one of the busiest aviation markets.

Primera’s Transportation Division Manager and ACEC Board Member, Stacie Dovalovsky, served as moderator, guiding a meaningful conversation with Commissioner McMurray. Their discussion underscored the value of collaboration between public agencies and engineering partners in delivering safe, efficient, and forward‑thinking aviation infrastructure.

“It was a pleasure to hear Commissioner McMurray outline the massive programs taking place at Chicago’s airports,” explains John Plezbert, Primera Vice President and a former City of Chicago colleague of the Commissioner. “I truly believe he is the right person, at the right time, to lead this next chapter for the Department of Aviation. His efforts will help maintain Chicago’s reputation as the busiest and best airports in the world,” he continues.

As a Platinum sponsor of the event, Primera is a strong supporter of, and active participant in, organizations across the industry such as ACEC-Illinois, that are shaping the future of transportation and aviation.
