Primera Continues Support for I Gotta Guy Sausage Festival

August 7, 2026

Primera is proud to once again sponsor and support the annual I Gotta Guy Sausage Festival, a beloved fundraising event celebrating 10 years benefiting the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research and its efforts to advance research for Schaaf-Yang Syndrome (SYS).

The annual festival brings attendees together for great food, entertainment, auctions, and philanthropy, all in support of families affected by Schaaf-Yang Syndrome.

The I Gotta Guy Sausage Festival remains near and dear to Primera, founded by our own Guy Niedorkorn and his family, whose granddaughter Emma was born with Schaaf-Yang Syndrome. Through their dedication and the support of countless advocates, donors, and sponsors, the festival has helped accelerate research and bring hope to families navigating this rare genetic disorder. Researchers are in their second year of a clinical trial as a direct result of the funds raised.

This year’s festival was extra special for us as John Plezbert, Vice President and Sr. Director of Business Development at Primera was recognized as the 2026 Hall of Flame Recipient. The honor celebrates individuals whose generosity, leadership, and commitment have made a lasting impact on the Schaaf-Yang Syndrome community. John, together with his family, has been a dedicated champion for families affected by SYS. His support has helped advance research efforts and provide hope to countless families. We are incredibly proud to see John recognized for embodying the spirit of service, compassion, and community that makes the festival so meaningful.

Congratulations to Guy and his family on another successful event and John on this well-deserved recognition. Thank you to everyone who continues to support the I Gotta Guy Sausage Festival and its mission to advance Schaaf-Yang Syndrome research.
