Ken Panucci is the leader of Primera’s Buildings’ teams and is passionate about seeing results. “I enjoy the opportunity to see innovative engineering solutions develop from a conceptual idea to an operational system that enhances the experience of the building occupant,” he explains. Ken’s expertise is the result of more than 35 years of experience in the design/construction engineering environments and more than 25 years of project management experience. He has delivered successful projects to clients in the higher education, K-12, corporate commercial, healthcare, municipal and parks and recreation markets. He oversees the engineers and project managers responsible for all of Primera’s Buildings services, including MEP, civil and lighting design, life safety, commissioning, energy management, code consulting, and architectural consulting.
Ken studied mechanical engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign before receiving his masters at the University of Illinois at Chicago shortly after. He spent the next fifteen years working in the nuclear power industry, specializing in the design of power plant systems and on-site systems engineering at operating facilities. He brought his knowledge of facilities engineering to the AEC industry when he joined Primera. At that time he advanced his studies by enrolling in the energy markets program at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
When he’s not at work, Ken is an avid-reader that enjoys traveling to other countries, sports, dogs, movies and good food.
