Mariusz Klimek is Primera’s leading plumbing expert who believes that “effective communication and a problem-solving mindset are essential in the workplace.” As a registered professional engineer and certified plumbing designer with experience in the engineering, design, and specification of plumbing systems and equipment, he has put this belief to the test. “Through my role, I often work with various trades, including contractors, other engineers, architects, and owners, who need to sit at one table and communicate to resolve problems,” he states. “Effective communication is crucial in such scenarios as sometimes these issues can cost someone at the table tremendous sums of money.” Fortunately, Mariusz has wide ranging experience in the plumbing field that allows him to solve even the most complex of challenges.
Mariusz studied mechanical engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he earned his bachelor’s degree while simultaneously interning at Primera Engineers. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in computer graphics and animation prior and leveraged his 3D design and modeling skillset to transition to plumbing engineering. Since 2007, Mariusz has excelled in his career leading the plumbing discipline for diverse project types, including hospitals, educational facilities, laboratories, commercial spaces, water purification plants, and federal buildings. Beyond technical expertise, he trains entry-level engineers, drives quality improvement tasks, and develops internal templates and procedures to enhance efficiency.
Outside of work, Mariusz enjoys chess and fishing. However, one of his greatest joys is seeing the world through the eyes of his two young children.
