Oscar’s journey at Primera began as a bold experiment, he joined our team as the company’s first in-house legal counsel, stepping into unfamiliar territory with no roadmap to follow. Through determination and vision, Oscar built our legal department from the ground up, becoming a trusted strategic partner and a driving force behind Primera’s growth.

As a solo General Counsel, Oscar wears many hats: providing legal advice, managing risk, ensuring compliance, and developing innovative tools that make legal information accessible and actionable for our entire team. His internal virtual Legal Helpdesk is just one example of his forward-thinking approach to operational excellence. However, Oscar’s influence extends beyond legal matters. He empowers colleagues to proactively manage risk, fosters a culture of accountability and humility, and plays a pivotal role in major milestones, from negotiating office leases to launching our non-profit foundation, the Primera Foundation, and navigating our first acquisition.
