Primera is: a GSA Schedule Contract Holder.

Primera Engineers is pleased to announce the we have General Service Administration (GSA) Schedule Contracts in place for Training in Energy Management (SIN 871 203) and Building Commissioning Services (SIN 871 206). The GSA schedule contracts were awarded to Primera after a lengthy proposal process as a result of our expertise in the energy management and commissioning arenas.

GSA Schedule Contracts are long-term contracts under the GSA’s Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) Program. GSA Schedule Contracts were developed to assist federal employees in purchasing products and services, and contain pre-negotiated prices, delivery terms, warranties, and other terms and conditions. Prices have already been deemed fair and reasonable, and purchases can be made directly from a contractor’s Contract, eliminating time-consuming responses to complex RFP’s and lengthy negotiations.

Primera’s energy services group is comprised of a diverse staff of maintenance operations field staff, professional engineers, licensed architects and sustainability experts that allow us to offer custom solutions to fit any energy project. Our broad range of services in facility assessments, ASHRAE Level I-III energy assessments, training and construction management means our staff is attuned to the broad goals and often complex processes of small and large projects. We rely on this expertise to provide training on energy topics. Specifically, Primera provided an advanced two-part training series on energy codes for more than 25 Chicagoland municipalities that belong to the South Suburban Mayor’s and Manager’s Association. The program consisted of detailed technical training, development of specific review and inspection checklists, and on- site training with inspection staff. Similarly, Primera provided advanced residential energy code training to nine municipalities that participated in a local utility’s energy challenge.

As one of the first firms in the Chicago area to have a commissioning group, Primera also has extensive experience providing a broad range of commissioning services for both new and existing buildings. Primera’s highly-qualified team of professionals have expertise in building operation and maintenance, energy management system design, installation and operation and engineering design. Having comissioned hundreds of buildings in the past 15-plus years, Primera’s list of clients include the Federal government facilities, public and private universities, hospitals, elementary and high schools, corporations, municipalities, utilities and retail institutions.

“We are thrilled to be included in the GSA Schedule,” said Lourdes Gonzalez, Senior Vice President and Director of Sustainability. “We have a long history in the Federal sector and appreciate this opportunity to focus on delivering successful projects in this market.”
