Primera Engineers, Ltd. (Primera) is pleased to welcome John Plezbert as Vice President, Director of Business Development. Based in our Chicago, Illinois office, John’s primary responsibility will be to continue growing our buildings and transportation markets by cultivating new and existing partnerships with our clients. John is a key member of our leadership team and will help support Primera’s overall strategic plan.

John joins Primera with over 45 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. Throughout his career, he has amassed a critical understanding of buildings, transportation, and utility entities and has developed longstanding relationships with major design and construction firms across the country. He advanced through six City of Chicago departments that culminated in successive appointments as Managing Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Aviation, First Deputy Commissioner of the Department of General Services and First Deputy Executive Director at the Public Building Commission. He left the public sector nearly a decade ago for the opportunity to apply his knowledge and leadership to help AEC organizations build meaningful relationships and expand their businesses.
