The Consolidated Reserve Center is an 86,000-square-foot, two-story office and training center for the United States Marine, Navy and Army National Guard reserves. The Center features areas unique to the functions and requirements of each service branch, from storage/staging/deployment areas and dedicated office areas to armories and gun ranges. Located on the grounds of the Schenectady County Airport, the Reserve Center accommodates a building staff between 50 and 100 individuals during the week, and more than 500 reservists on the weekend.
In addition to MEP, fire alarm, and fire protection systems design and engineering, Primera provided comprehensive design of all low voltage systems, including voice/data structured cabling, intrusion detection, access control, and CCTV surveillance systems, as well as cable TV distribution, paging, and mass notification systems. Each system had to be designed in accordance with strict government design criteria and requirements. Primera also provided ongoing construction administration to coordinate project completion and move-in with the reserve services.
