The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) Bureau of Maintenance partnered with Primera on various expressway and arterial roadside maintenance projects. Primera delivered Phase III engineering services and assisted the Bureau’s Maintenance team with repair projects and safety studies throughout their District One area.
Primera monitored several expressway and arterial sweeping contracts as well as oversaw guardrail repairs, pedestrian barrier and fence repairs, cable road guard repairs, and litter pickup. Our team also supervised contractor operations and conducted quality control activities to ensure compliance with specifications. Safety control measures included monitoring traffic and enforcing all safety rules and guidelines. Primera implemented steps to achieve acceptable safety levels, including adjusting work zone traffic control and site protection.
