Hello. We're so glad you decided to join us as you take the next step in your career. We are looking forward to you making your mark on our incredible organization.

Now that the interview process is complete, we've compiled some information to help you as you prepare for your first day at Primera.

What to expect on Day 1?

We're just as excited for you to join the team as you are, but we want to make sure you have all the information you need to be successful here. Normally, you'd arrive and let the receptionist know and we'd take it from there. You'd receive a tour of the office, have an opportunity to get settled at your desk and sit down with a number of people as we familiarize you with your new work-home. However, we're still working from home, so we've adjusted accordingly. You'll do all of your orientation virtually and spend the remainder of the day with your supervisor and/or new coworkers digging into the specifics of your new role.

Do I need to do anything before my first day?

There's always some paperwork involved, but we've done what we can to make the process painless. If you haven't done so already, please log into your Career Center to complete and sign the required new hire documents. The list of documents was included in your welcome email. If you've forgotten the login information, it's your email address that we've been using to communicate with you.



What time should I start?

Plan to log in at 8:30am unless otherwise instructed by a member of our HR team.

What should I wear?

The good news is while you're at home, feel free to dress as comfortably as you'd like. If and when the time comes to return to the office, we work hard to maintain a fun and approachable atmosphere in a professional environment. Our official dress code is business casual, so think a dress shirt, or polo, with a pair of nice pants or a skirt. The details of our dress code will be included in your copy of our employee handbook which you'll receive on your first day. Keep in mind that we'll be taking an informal headshot of you shortly after you arrive so we have something on file. Your formal headshot will be taken within your first few months; more on that later.

I'd like to learn more about my benefits.

Primera offers a comprehensive benefits package. The benefit plans take effect the first day of the month following 30 days of employment. The enrollment process will take place through Paycom and must be completed within your first 30 days with us. If you haven't already, you will receive an email from our HR team with all of the information you need to create your login. Note that if you receive an error message, it likely means we are waiting on the remainder of your new hire paperwork or your information just hasn't hit the system yet. If you've submitted all the requested information, give it another day or two to process through our system before you try again. You'll hear more about the benefits enrollment process on your first day.

How soon can I get my hands on some Primera swag?

We'll have a small package of Primera goodies sent to you prior to your first day. We've also got a branded apparel store that you'll get some credit to on your first day. Feel free to check it out at PrimeraSwag.com.

Can I post about my new job on social media?

Absolutely! We'd love for you to tag @PrimeraEng on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and/or LinkedIn.
