The event raised more than $65,000 toward the Foundation’s mission, pushing our total fundraising efforts to over $300,000 since our founding in 2019. Centered around the theme “Educate. Empower. Elevate.” the evening featured a moderated panel exploring Chicago’s evolving education landscape, the future of STEM careers, and how we can collectively shape tomorrow’s workforce.
Distinguished panelists included Z Scott, President of Chicago State University; Dr. Miiri Kotche, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Affairs and Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago; Krisann Rehbein, Executive Director of the Chicago ACE Mentor Program; and Dave Crosson, Senior Vice President at HNTB. The discussion, moderated by Erin Inman, President & CEO of Primera Engineers and President of the Primera Foundation, focused on bridging the gap between education and the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. Panelists shared personal stories, addressed challenges students face today, and emphasized the importance of mentorship, early exposure, and inclusive pathways to STEM careers.
