Primera Recognized as Top Engineering/Architecture Firm in Multiple Building Sectors

We are thrilled to announce that we have once again been named one of Building Design+Construction’s (BD+C) Giants 400The Giants 400 comprehensive report ranks leading firms across 25 building sectors and specialty categories. Primera was listed in the Top Engineering/Architecture Firms for 2024. This year, a record 602 architecture, engineering, and construction firms participated, resulting in 137 rankings. We are proud to be recognized as a top engineering firm in the following categories:

  • Number 41 – Top Engineering/Architecture Firms: This esteemed list ranks the nation’s largest engineering/architecture (EA) firms for nonresidential buildings and multifamily buildings work.
  • Number 55 – Sports Facility Sector: This ranking considers revenue of the nation’s largest sports facility engineering and engineering/architecture firms for the year.
  • Number 58 – University Building Sector: This ranking includes revenue for all university/college-related buildings except student residence halls, sports/recreation facilities, laboratories, S+T-related buildings, parking facilities, and performing arts centers. A sampling of our work in this category includes our ISU Multicultural Center and a WIU Quad Cities Riverfront Campus building.
  • Number 61 – K-12 School Sector: Primera came in at number 61 out of 87 for largest K-12 school building engineering firms. Primera boasts an extensive portfolio of PK-12 projects; some examples include Mansueto High School, William Jones College Preparatory Academy, and Roberto Clemente (Galewood) Elementary School.
  • Number 67 – Healthcare Sector: This ranking includes revenue related to all healthcare buildings work, including hospitals, medical office buildings, and outpatient facilities. Hightlights of our work in this category include our University of Illinois Hospital Welcome Atrium, Simpson Querrey Biomedical Research Center, and Niles Medical Office Building.
  • Number 68 – Office Building Sector: This ranking includes revenue for all office building work, including core and shell projects and workplace/interior fitouts.
  • Number 78 – Multifamily Sector: This ranking factors revenue for all multifamily buildings work, including apartments, condominiums, student housing facilities, and senior living facilities.
