Primera Leaders Earn Recognition Through ACEC-Illinois

Primera is proud to share the continued leadership and industry involvement of two of our Transportation team members through recent recognition with the American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois (ACEC-IL).

Leadership extends beyond the work we do for our clients. Through their involvement with ACEC-IL, Stacie Dovalovsky and Matt Villanueva are helping advance the engineering profession while representing Primera’s commitment to industry leadership, advocacy, and professional growth.

Continuing Leadership at the Board Level

Stacie Dovalovsky, Senior Vice President and Transportation Division Manager, was named to the ACEC-IL Board of Directors for the 2026–2027 term, joining 11 other directors and the organization’s executive committee.

Stacie has been involved with ACEC-IL since 2009, contributing her experience and perspective to help strengthen the business environment for engineering firms and support industry-wide collaboration. Earlier this year, she moderated a discussion at the ACEC-IL Regional Luncheon with Chicago Department of Aviation Commissioner, Michael McMurray (pictured on the right).

Her leadership at Primera and commitment to advocacy continue to make a meaningful impact both within the firm and across the broader engineering community.

Investing in the Next Generation of Leaders

In addition to board representation, we’re also proud to celebrate Matt Villanueva, for his recent graduation from the ACEC-IL Leadership Institute as part of the Class of 2026. The Leadership Institute prepares rising engineering professionals for leadership roles through a series of programs focused on communication, business acumen, industry engagement, and personal leadership development.

Matt serves as our Sr. Roadway Group Manager and is known for his collaborative leadership style and dedication to mentoring others. In May, he traveled to Washington DC to attend the ACEC Annual Convention and Legislative Summit as part of the Leadership Institute (pictured on the left). Participating in the program reflects his ongoing commitment to professional growth and to strengthening the future of the engineering industry.

Together, these recognitions highlight how Primera’s people continue to engage with organizations like ACEC-IL to drive progress, support innovation and build stronger infrastructure across the communities we serve.
