Primera Engineers Joins the North Texas Tollway Authority’s ROAD Program

As a proud member of the 2024-2026 class, Primera Engineers is thrilled to participate in the Relationships and Opportunities Advancing Diversity (ROAD) Program through the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA). This initiative aims to foster collaboration, elevate capabilities, and create equitable opportunities for disadvantaged, minority-, and women-owned business enterprises (D/M/WBEs). Currently in its 15th year and 8th cohort, Primera team members recently attended the program’s kickoff meeting where we had the opportunity to meet our mentor firm partners from Bartlett & West.

The ROAD Program is an exciting opportunity for Primera as we continue building relationships within the North Texas community. Its purpose is to increase D/M/WBE participation by providing mentorship, networking, and growth opportunities to emerging businesses in the area. “We are thrilled to be part of this year’s ROAD Program class,” says Stacie Dovalovsky, Sr. Vice President and Transportation Division Manager. “The mentor-protégé dynamic aligns perfectly with our culture of collaboration which we believe is essential for driving innovation, especially in the transportation infrastructure industry.” Partner firms will work together to create a comprehensive plan that provides access to resources and targeted training areas to help protégé firms navigate the Texas transportation sector.

Bartlett & West is a pioneering engineering firm with a rich heritage similar to Primera’s. Founded in 1951 and headquartered in Topeka, Kansas, the company has been at the forefront of innovation since its inception. Notably, they designed Kansas’ first rural water system. As a 100% employee-owned company, Bartlett & West thrives on a culture of shared success and commitment to community development. Their diverse services span architectural design, surveying, site planning, and more, catering to both public and private sectors. The firm has received recognition for its workplace culture and industry impact, earning spots on lists like Forbes America’s Best Small Employers. Primera is proud to be partnered with a firm that truly embodies excellence in engineering consulting, driven by a legacy of achievement and employee ownership.

The ROAD Program brings mutual learning to both mentor and mentee firms, with both companies adopting and implementing best practices. Bartlett & West was a mentee of the ROAD program a few years ago and now Primera has the honor of partnering with them as our mentor firm for the 2024-2026 class.
