Primera Engineers is excited to share that we are now prequalified in the Structures – Highway: Complex category for the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). IDOT prequalifies architectural and engineering consultants in many specialized categories of transportation services. Primera’s Structures team has proven their extensive knowledge and expertise through their work on many intensive projects and has now earned six out of seven available structural prequalifications as listed below. Currently, there are a total of only 22 firms with this number of structural prequals, seven of which are small firms, including Primera.

This great news means that Primera is now qualified to do projects with complex curved girders, concrete and steel box girders, bridges or walls that require unique foundation treatment, expressway bridges with complex framing plans due to geometry requirements such as on/off ramps and the minor rehabilitation or repair of main structural components on major bridges.
