As part of the Village of Westmont’s downtown revitalization efforts, Primera delivered Phase 1 streetscape improvements along Quincy Street from Cass Avenue to Lincoln Street and from Lincoln Street to Alley G. Working within the existing right‑of‑way, the project replaced pavement, sidewalks, and streetlighting while refining pavement cross‑sections to create space for outdoor dining, plaza areas, and pedestrian‑friendly amenities. This work represents the second phase of the Village’s long‑term plan to re‑imagine its downtown district.
The design introduced modern streetscape elements including decorative streetlights, overhead catenary lighting, outdoor seating, brick pavers, and new landscaping. Sidewalks and crosswalks were fully updated to meet ADA requirements, improving accessibility and enhancing the overall pedestrian experience throughout the corridor.
Primera provided multi‑agency and utility coordination, complete streets analysis, parking and sidewalk studies, grading and drainage design, traffic management planning, and public engagement. Close collaboration with landscape architects supported the Village’s sustainability goals, while procurement assistance helped secure bids below both the engineer’s estimate and the project budget, resulting in a refreshed corridor that strengthens community character and welcomes residents, businesses, and visitors.
