Primera is supporting the Customers Experiencing Multiple Interruptions (CEMI) Program for PECO Energy in Chester and Bucks Counties near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Our Utilities team is providing design and engineering services aimed at improving reliability on heavily vegetated distribution circuits. The program targets areas where frequent outages are driven by canopy‑related events, with a focus on strengthening infrastructure and improving overall system performance.
Primera’s work includes vegetation‑aware design solutions and upgrades to existing electrical infrastructure such as utility pole replacements and resets, framing, reconductoring, system conversions, and equipment upgrades. Each project is approached with a field‑first mindset, including on‑site walkdowns to verify existing conditions, identifying constructability considerations, and ensuring compliance with PECO standards. Designs may include overhead and pad‑mounted transformer replacements, new or upgraded fusing and disconnects, and optimized routing for aerial and underground facilities.
