Dennis Odegaard approaches his role with a focus on collaboration. “I’ve spent years working in the customer relations side for utilities, if I’ve learned anything it’s that truly listening to people is key to having a successful relationship. I take that with me wherever I go, and I value the ideas and opinions of those around me, including our Distribution teams,” he explains. Dennis provides QA/QC on distribution operations and design projects, drives lessons learned through the organization, leads complex and strategic pursuits and proposals, and continually educates our team members on current standards and best practices. His expertise is the results of more than 20 years of electric utility experience specializing in customer relations, project management, and distribution design and operations.
Dennis studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and later also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from DePaul University. Prior to joining Primera, he served as a consultant for large utilities and spent 18 years at ComEd working his way up and ultimately managing the Large Customer Services team. His extensive technical knowledge in outage management and restoration, and reliability systems and processes, coupled with his project and team management experience, positions Dennis to keep Primera’s growth momentum moving forward.
Outside of the office, Dennis dedicates his time to raising and spending time with his four young children. He also enjoys hiking the Colorado mountains, playing 12” softball, and discovering small, unique breweries with his wife.
