On April 14, professionals from the transmission and distribution world will gather at McCormick Place in Chicago for the three-day, 50th annual Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Power and Energy Society’s (IEEE PES) Transmission & Distribution Conference celebrating 50 years of ideas, growth and success. The conference will feature technologies, products, and companies that will help lead the industry into the Next Fifty years. With more than 425,000 members in over 150 countries, IEEE is the premier professional association for the electrical and electronics industry. This year’s conference will feature more than 700 national and international exhibitors showcasing their latest products and services along with a number of educational workshops, technical tours and networking events.
Primera is excited to take part in the anniversary celebration by exhibiting at this year’s expo and presenting our technical paper, “Distribution Automation: Multiple Scheme Complexity & Benefits,” during the conference’s Poster Sessions. Primera Electrical Engineers Hussain Biyawerwala, Viktor Terziysky, and Ashok Rajan will discuss complex Distribution Automation (DA) schemes utilizing multiple reclosers along with the benefits and challenges in the application of DA on distribution networks across the national grid.
“We are excited to both connect with industry peers and clients as well as share our knowledge and technical expertise with other T&D professionals at this year’s conference,” said Erin Inman, Senior Vice President and Power Division Manager.
Stop by Primera’s booth (#3360) during expo hours and visit our poster session on April 16 between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Additional information about the 2014 IEEE PES T&D Conference and Exposition can be found at: http://www.ieeet-d.org/.
