This past May, we relocated our Mid‑Atlantic office to a larger, more collaborative space in Chadds Ford, PA, reflecting the region’s significant growth from a single employee to more than 40 team members across all four technical divisions. This move underscores our long‑term, sustainable expansion in the Mid‑Atlantic region.
Primera was ranked #11 on Crain’s Chicago Business’ list of the largest engineering firms in the Chicago area, reflecting our continued growth and strong base of locally licensed engineers. This recognition caps a year marked by major expansion, new office spaces, industry accolades, and a fourth consecutive Top Workplace honor.
Throughout the year, we stayed dedicated to sharing our knowledge, contributing thought leadership that supported our clients, partners, and peers as they navigated a rapidly evolving landscape. Our article “7 Engineering Perspectives on Challenges Facing Airport Projects” brought together Primera’s engineers and aviation specialists to share insights on the most urgent challenges facing today’s airport projects—including aging infrastructure, material shortages, climate resilience, digital transformation, and fire safety.
We also saw additional growth in the relocation of our Rocky Mountain office from Englewood, CO to a new space in the Denver Tech Center, completing the transition that began with the acquisition of Corey Electrical Engineering. This move supports continued growth in the region as we expand our Utilities and Transportation teams while strengthening long‑standing relationships in the Buildings and aviation markets.
2025 was also an amazing year for the Primera Foundation. Our second annual Forward Focused fundraiser raised more than $65,000 to support STEM education, bringing total contributions to over $300,000 since 2019. The event featured a dynamic panel of education and industry leaders who discussed the future of STEM careers, the importance of mentorship, and the need for inclusive pathways into the AEC industry. More than a fundraiser, the gathering celebrated the power of investing in people and inspiring the next generation of engineers and architects.
Another notable honor for us this year was being recognized once again on Engineering News‑Record’s Top 500 Design Firms and ENR Midwest’s Top Design Firms lists, marking more than a decade of consecutive rankings.
