The Program Integration Office (PIO) at Dallas Fort Worth International (DFW) Airport is a new single-story, 30,000 square foot building designed to house various airport operations departments that support the airport’s extensive growth and expansion projects. Primera was responsible for designing the lighting and fire protection systems for the new building. The design process included value engineering efforts to ensure the project stayed on schedule and within budget. The lighting design supports a modern open office concept with limited ceilings while maintaining occupant controllability.
DFW outlined a full renovation and expansion of Terminal C to modernize the terminal, which has been in service since the early 70s, incorporating the latest technologies and infrastructure to support the growth of American Airlines and enhance the customer experience for modern travelers.
The project achieved LEED Silver certification and met all energy code requirements for new construction.
