Primera Ranks in Top 10 on Crain’s Largest Engineering Firms in Chicago

Crain’s Chicago Business released its 2026 list of the largest engineering firms in the Chicago area, and Primera has earned the #10 spot, marking the first time our firm has ranked among the Top 10 engineering firms in the region according to the Crain’s list.

The ranking comes during a year of noteworthy achievements for Primera. In 2026, we celebrated 10 years of growth under Erin’s ownership and leadership, continued our upward trajectory on Engineering News-Record’s Top Design Firms rankings, and recently relocated our suburban Lisle office into a new, modern workspace.
Since its founding in 1987, Primera has grown from a Chicago-based engineering firm into a nationally recognized, woman-owned consulting and engineering company serving clients across the buildings, transportation, and utilities markets.
