This project consisted of roadway and drainage design in Glen Ellyn, Illinois for improvements along Crescent Boulevard, from Lake Road to the East Branch of the DuPage River. The work included pavement patching, replacing sidewalk and ADA accessibility ramps, new infill sidewalk between existing sidewalk segments, removal and replacement of selected driveway aprons, asphalt resurfacing, and new pavement markings. The project design had to follow the requirements for federally funded projects to qualify for and maintain its federal grant funding.
Primera prepared contract plans and special provisions for the design of the ADA ramps, storm and sanitary utilities, water main improvements, pavement rehabilitation, driveway and sidewalk reconstruction, and landscape restoration. Additional tasks included coordination with the Illinois Department of Transportation, data collection, drainage structure inspections, curb and gutter removal and replacement, geometric study, and permitting.
