Primera provided field inspection and/or repair plan preparation of 19 bridges on I-90 (Indiana Toll Road) including design, CADD, Maintenance of Traffic plans, drainage calculations and plan review as a subconsultant to Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc. for the Indiana Toll Road Concession Company.
Field inspection consisted of an in-depth inspection of each of the bridges. Inspection techniques included visual and physical inspections, core sampling, carbonation testing, ground-penetrating radar and Half-Cell Potential testing. Sketches were created for each of the bridges detailing defects found during inspection and outlining necessary repairs. Replacement/rehabilitation recommendations were made and design drawings were created following these recommendations. CADD drawings were created for bridge decks, abutments, piers, wingwalls, approach slabs repairs and MOT. Quantity calculations were prepared for numerous construction pay items.
