Taylor brings deep expertise in electric distribution engineering, project management, and team leadership to Primera’s Utilities division. As the lead engineer for several large utility programs, Taylor oversees complex initiatives while managing and mentoring a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers. According to Taylor, “safe and reliable power is the lifeblood of modern America,” a belief that grounds his work in a strong sense of responsibility to the communities Primera serves.
Taylor’s career spans more than a decade in the utilities and energy sectors. He began in the maritime oil and gas industry as a field service engineer supporting dynamic positioning systems on supply vessels and drillships. Before joining Primera in 2024, Taylor spent nearly ten years at an electric utility in Louisiana where he led distribution design and construction projects, supported storm recovery efforts following Hurricanes Laura and Ida, and represented the utility on the Louisiana 811 Board of Directors. Taylor attended Louisiana State University (LSU) where he earned Bachelor of Science degrees in both electrical engineering and computer engineering. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Louisiana.
Outside of work, Taylor enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons and staying active outdoors. As an Eagle Scout, Taylor is an avid woodworker and enjoys hiking and camping. He is also a lifelong LSU sports fan, growing up as a third-generation supporter and second-generation graduate. He previously performed as a tuba player in The Golden Band from Tigerland and the LSU Bengal Brass. Taylor is also actively involved in his church community and coaches his son’s soccer team.
