Erin Inman Honored with March of Dimes Professional Services Award

October 2, 2026

Primera was proud to celebrate our President & CEO, Erin Inman, PE, today as she received the 2026 Professional Services Award at the March of Dimes Construction & Transportation Awards Luncheon at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago.

The annual event brings together leaders from across the construction and transportation industries to support March of Dimes and its work on behalf of moms, babies, and families.

In accepting the award, Erin Inman reflected on her experiences as an engineer, CEO, mentor, advocate, philanthropist, and mother. She also spoke about the importance of opportunity and representation. “Progress does not happen by accident,” she shared. It happens when people are intentional about opening doors, creating pathways, and making sure others can see a future for themselves.”

Those ideas closely reflect Primera’s commitment to building strong relationships, supporting our people, and serving the communities where we live and work. Erin also drew a meaningful connection between the work of the March of Dimes and the work performed every day across the engineering and construction industries. “In engineering and construction, our work is measured in plans, schedules, budgets, and outcomes,” she stated. “But at its core, our work is really about people. The people doing the work, the people driving on the roads we design, the people living in the buildings we construct,” she continued.

The event recognized a distinguished group of 2026 honorees. Stephen Davis of The Will Group received the Rufus Taylor Award, which recognizes a trailblazer in the construction industry. Michael McMurray, Commissioner of the Chicago Department of Aviation, was selected as the Leadership in the Public Sector honoree. The Illinois Department of Transportation received the Construction Award for the Kennedy Expressway Rehabilitation Project, while the Illinois Tollway received the Transportation Award for the Central Tri-State Tollway, I-294 Project. Dunnet Bay Construction Company was recognized as Contractor of the Year.

As a Gold Sponsor, Primera joined many of our friends, clients, and partners in supporting the event. While the recognition marked an important professional milestone, Erin used her spotlight to keep the focus on the mission supported by everyone in attendance.

“Every child deserves the chance to grow up healthy and supported. Every family deserves to be seen,” she stated.

Congratulations to Erin and all of this year’s honorees. We are proud to celebrate this well-earned recognition and grateful to everyone who joined Primera in supporting the March of Dimes and its work on behalf of moms, babies, and families.
