On Thursday, October 28th, Primera Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and project management expert, Brad Davis, held a free webinar titled “How GIS is Changing the Local Government Game.” The session was the second in a series of free webinars being offered by members of our Consulting team to provide helpful recommendations to organizations or individuals seeking to troubleshoot internal pain points or improve performance. Brad’s webinar covered how local governments and municipalities are using GIS applications and new technology to track, analyze and manage valuable assets and data.
Attendees learned how GIS has been used to effectively manage varying inventories since the 1960s. Since that time, there have been significant advances that are allowing local governments, responsible for the wellbeing of their constituents, to provide better services by locating and understanding the status of vital infrastructure using GIS.
